Anachronism

So... here I am attempting another intrepid foray into the dense jungle known as the world wide web. I feel like an anachronism, I do not have a handle on this whole technology thing yet(I say yet as if there will ever be hope for me). It seems as if my children were born knowing how to use computers as if in utero someone had placed a microchip into their developing brains. My brother and most others around my own age also make me feel very inadequate (unintenionally, I'm sure) whenever I ask for help and advice when trying to do almost anything on the computer. One thing I do have going for me at least is that it has often been said that I am not as bad as my father is. The only logical conclusion here is that at least technologically, I am stuck somewhere between the Boomers and Gen X.

I have been encouraged to start a blog by the above mentioned brother(Chad) http://friendofwiscokid.blogspot.com/2011/01/did-i-ever-tell-you-about-time.html?spref=tw who was in turn inspired to start one by his brother- in- law, Wade http://diaryofa3rdperson.blogspot.com/. Admittedly, I have thought of doing so in the past, if for no other reason than to hone my writing skills or to write something when I find myself at an impasse in my poetry or short fiction writing. I am not quite sure what form or subject matter this blog will take on. My assumption is that it will be a mishmash of many things, including my thoughts on writing and maybe even some samples of my work. Please feel free to comment on any and all subjects and if in the event I do post some poems or stories, I will also welcome some constructive criticism(meaning- don't just tell me I suck, tell me why I suck).
    See you soon.
